Faced with significant water intrusion at our apartment building, the Owners Committee of the Plaza, Northcote, ran a competitive tender to provide a waterproofing membrane solution. AB Construct won the tender and have just successfully completed approximately $230,000 worth of work over an eight-week program.
Throughout the contract, Martin worked closely with the project supervisor to ensure that workflowed and issues were dealt with as they arose. Martin and his team forensicallyinvestigated the source of the many water leaks, uncovering faulty design, poor product quality and sub-standard construction from the initial property development. At all times, the supervisor was kept informed.
Solutions proposed by AB Construct were based on project specifications, years of building and construction knowledge and proven product performance. We have been provided with excellent quality workmanship and have already seen improvements in the building performance.
The water proofing membrane supplied and installed by AB Construct was audited and guaranteed by the product supplier, who commended the AB Construct team for their quality work. The 10-year guarantee was issued without delay.
As with many projects, additional works were initiated during the project. These were carefully explained by AB Construct as necessary for the overall efficacy of the water proofing of our building. Martin managed these variations carefully and costings were always reasonable.
